Las Vegas – The Nevada Outdoor Business Coalition is pleased to announce the hiring of Mandi Elliott as our first executive director. She starts June 1, 2023 and is working part-time as the NVOBC begins rolling out new programs.
Mandi brings the right mix of experience and interests to help NVOBC promote Nevada’s business working in outdoor recreation. She continues to work in business advocacy as an advisor to the Small Business Development Center at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She also has an entrepreneurial spirit with her own small business providing virtual assistance for other companies. Most importantly, she is passionate about the outdoors. Mandi, her husband and their three dogs moved to Nevada for the amazing outdoor recreation opportunities. She is an avid rock climber, exploring the opportunities around Las Vegas.
“We are excited to bring on Mandi,” said Meghan Wolf, president of the NVOBC. “Her enthusiasm and planning caught our attention. Her work in economic development also is a great positive for the small and start-up businesses working in outdoor recreation,”
Mandi will work at the direction of the NVOBC board of directors and alongside the Coalition’s administrator. She and the Coalition are developing programs, resources, and events for members and the local communities to support the outdoor business economy.
“I am thrilled to start with the NVOBC,” Mandi said. “I love the outdoors, and this is a great opportunity build off my work in economic development. I look forward to working with small businesses, resource partners, local communities, and state and federal governments. There is so much money spent in outdoor recreation, and we can build on that by supporting Nevada’s own businesses and public policies that promote outdoor recreation.”
